Are you interested in having surgery with Dr. Stevens yet fear it is impossible to manage due to your location? Fear Not! A very large percentage of our patient population flies in from all over the world. We have perfected the “fly-in patient” protocol, making it virtually possible for all prospective patients to manage. Conveniently located just minutes from LAX (Los Angeles Airport), you can fly-in alone or with loved ones, and we will walk you through a process that will ensure complete care and a comfortable, pleasant experience.

Fly home beautiful! It’s as easy as One, Two, Three!

Step One – The Initial Contact

  • Fly-in for a personal consultation and exam (ideal for the person who can afford to travel and/or who prefers to meet with the doctor and staff before making any decisions)
  • You can request your appointment online now. Just go Inside Online to see how. You may even qualify to save $100 – $150 on your consultation.

or

  • Send-in photos of the area you wish to improve or correct and we will prepare a “virtual consultation” by means of these photographs and your completed medical history forms. We appreciate receiving a cover letter outlining your expectations, so that we can fully understand and appreciate your goals. Please mark your package to the attention of Charlie Sheridan, Director. Your information will be reviewed by Dr. Stevens, and you will usually receive a response within a week or two from your package arrival date.
(ideal for the person who is looking for a cost-effective way to determine whether or not Dr. Stevens feel they can be improved and what options may be available)

After your consultation, the doctors will assess if you are a good candidate for the procedure you desire. You will be contacted by our Patient Coordinator and advised of the assessment and when applicable, all fees for surgery and related expenses. She will also suggest hotel and/or post-operative care accommodations, as well as discuss your proposed length of stay in Los Angeles.

Step Two – Scheduling

Once you have determined that you wish to proceed with the proposed surgery, the scheduling process begins. Our Patient Coordinator will offer available dates (usually a Monday/Tuesday combination). A deposit (payable by check or credit card) will be required to secure dates, and final payments will be collected at the pre-operative visit. For your convenience we accept all major credit cards. The first day will be spent in our office covering physical examination, pre and post-operative instruction, and review and signing of all consents. (A packet containing copies of all consents and instructions is mailed to you upon scheduling, so that you can peruse these at your leisure while at home, and thus be fully prepared). We allow two hours for this visit so that all questions can be answered. The next morning surgery will be performed at the Marina Outpatient Surgery Center, located directly across the street from our office. In many cases, patients are required to spend that evening in a post-operative care facility (also located in Marina del Rey). This will ensure that the patient is comfortable and properly attended to, for the first day following surgery.

Step Three – Recovery

Typically fly-in patients must plan on staying in Los Angeles for approximately 7 -10 days. (Ask about our corporate hotel rates). Depending on the amount of surgery performed, this length of stay may be adjusted; however, it is important to allow for the proper amount to ensure a healthy and safe recovery. During the recovery period, many of our fly-in patients choose to stay at Serenity aftercare facility where 24 hour nursing care and all the amenities of a luxury hotel ensure that you are safe and comfortable. We want your trip home to be a pleasant one, and that means following all of our guidelines. Your post-op visits will be concentrated into the required length-of-stay. In the event that you may feel a need for medical assistance after returning home, we are available to refer you to a local physician for check-ups. Your health and safety will remain our number one priority.

You will return home delighted and rested… Everyone will agree, your “vacation” took years off your appearance!
